Troop 599 is where adventure meets growth—our scouts build skills, friendships, and memories through hands-on experiences and community events.
Troop 599 has been preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law since 1971!!!
This site is dedicated to Troop 599 sharing its scouting experiences and is not an official Scouting America (BSA) website
"Pride in what we do, Lead in every way"
Troop 599 was founded in 1971. The meeting place and sponsoring organizations have changed over the years, but the vitality of the Troop has never waned.
The Troop is currently sponsored by Scouting Miami.
Troop meetings are held every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, at Norma Butler Elementary (15950 SW 144th St, Miami, FL 33196).
During the meetings, the Scouts work towards advancements, merit badges, plan campouts, and participate in Troop activities.
The Troop schedule is planned by the Patrol Leader's Council (PLC). The PLC consists of each Patrol Leader, the Senior Patrol Leader, the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, the Quartermaster General, the Camping Director, the Scoutmaster, and the Scribe.
Troop 599 is active in providing service to the community. Community Service Projects are planned by the PLC and are encouraged. The Scouts need the community service projects for advancements and character development. Our Troop encourages at least one service project per month.
